about
Several years ago, I was sent on a journey to learn more about "hope." It's a word used often both in daily conversation as well as in sacred spiritual texts. Until that time, I hadn't realized how vital hope is, and at the same time, how excruciatingly difficult it can be to maintain. Without that little light at end of the tunnel...I'm afraid I'd be lost.
lyrics
“Hope”
by Bianca Merkley
I’d rather have a lot on my plate than nothing
I’d rather give all I got than just a portion
I’d rather lay my sacrifice upon the alter
Than to say I gave nothing of myself
Chorus:
Hope, it rises
Hope, it falls
Hope, it carries me
When the sun sets and all the lights to out
I’d rather grieve a loss than feel nothing
I’d rather dig down deep than to bury
I’d rather hope with the chance of falling
Than to have my feet safely planted in doubt
Chorus:
Hope, it rises
Hope, it falls
Hope, it carries me
When the sun sets and all the lights to out
Big grey sky up above my head
I feel small in comparison
The sun sets and rises again
Reminds me, that the time is passin’
Reminds me, that it’s time to live
Chorus:
Hope, it rises
Hope, it falls
Hope, it carries me
When the sun sets and all the lights to out
It carries me, when all the lights go out
